MISTY VIEWS AND EXPRESSIONS

The truth given to you so subtly. Be an open minded individual and you'll understand.

How can you lose your song when you’ve sung it for so long?
How can you forget your dance when that dance is all you’ve ever had?
It must be true… you can’t separate the two, its impossible to do
Just like the salt thats in the stew, its all a part of you
one thing that life can’t do
it can’t take your song from you

AND WHAT’S WRONG WITH THINKING LIKE A WOMAN?
To the makers and endorsers of “Think Like A Man” I simply have to say: “Ain’t I a WOMAN?” (In the words of Sojourner Truth.)
If everyone is “thinking like a man”, then WHO is going to think like a WOMAN?
Is “thinking like a man” really the solution for this highly unbalanced culture? Should we seriously denounce our femininity to embrace a more masculine mindset? Telling us that the “antidote” for failed relationships lies in a sick sense of gender switching and misappropriated role playing, is this what we should accept?
I usually don’t touch on politics or the other madness in the media… But THIS! This I have to address. I get upset; not cause men are tired of insecure, immature, lazy, bitchy, uncompromising bitter women… (Shit me too dammit!) I get upset; NOT cause I do not feel that women DO need to better understand the way men think and behave — and vice versa — but to be told to “Think Like a Man”…C’MON SON! Really?
There is nothing more beautiful than BEING a woman if you ask me. By nature’s design, we are THE GIVERS OF LIFE! That alone should cause for a greater level of RESPECT for the DIVINE FEMININE and we, as women should be the ones demanding that it is regarded.
Most women do not even study THEMSELVES, yet you have MILLIONS of them in a frenzy rushing to their Kindle so they can now cop THIS book “they think will change their love life” — or lack thereof. This to me — and I must say — is a problem.
It is a problem cause this time it’s not some BeBe Moore Campbell or Terry McMillian novel, no! This is a “handbook” that is being CELEBRATED as the damn BLUEPRINT on how to improve women’s relationships… Have we gotten this out of tune with NATURE that we cannot see when we are out of order?
I am not saying don’t STUDY men. I agree, we ALL need a nice healthy dose of balance and restoration at times when we lose our way. But like my mentor always advised: “What’s your reference point when getting advice?”
Let’s be honest, Steve Harvey — although I find him amusing as far as his comedy — is not exactly synonymous with “Relationship Guru” or “Love Machine”.
In the same way I wouldn’t ask Nicki Minaj for voice lessons nor Soulja Boy to help me write my lyrics, WHY IN THE FLYING F$%^ would I take Steve Harvey’s advice on how to be a better WOMAN??
Last time I checked, this beautiful pearl between my thighs is PRECIOUS. Last time I checked, this womb that I possess is PRICELESS. Last time I checked, these breasts of mine can FEED and give SUSTENANCE and I am PRETTY damn sure my brain in all of its brilliance, is fit for nothing less than a GODDESS, QUEEN, MOTHER, SISTER…WOMAN.
So to tell me to “THINK LIKE A MAN” is a slap in the face to me and every other amazingly beautiful woman I know. It is a slap in the face to my great, great, great grandmother. It is a slap in the face to women everywhere who are living, breathing examples of what a woman should be.
No! I am not mad at Steve Harvey; he is a businessman at the end of the day. He does not control what we CHOOSE to digest. I just want my sistas — across the globe — to LOVE THEMSELVES a little DEEPER. We get what we allow.
I just want my sistas (whatever the race) to know that we can better our lives in EVERY aspect if we simply apply UNIVERSAL/SPIRITUAL LAWS and better understand OUR nature. I just want us all to remember: THE ANSWERS ARE WITHIN…
Wisdom is always calling, the question is: “ARE YOU LISTENING?”
